MQM COORDINATION COMMITTEE HAS DECIDED TO
WITHDRAW ITS SUPPORT TO THE
ANNOUNCEMENT OF HAQ PARAST LOI JIRGA TO OBSERVE THE BLACK DAY ON 12TH
MAY

The MQM Coordination Committee has decided to withdraw its support to the announcement of Haq Parast Loi Jirga to observe the Black Day on 12th May. The Coordination Committee has decided instead to hoist Pakistani flags throughout the country to promote unity and harmony with the Army. They appealed to the patriotic citizens of Pakistan to hoist country’s flag on their homes, businesses, shops and factories on 12th May. The country is passing through a critical phase and the Armed Forces and personnel of security agencies are risking their lives and fighting against the terrorists and extremists in the Northern Areas. The MQM Coordination Committee has decided that Pakistan does not need any sort of protest within the country at this crucial juncture, therefore, they met with the Members of Haq Parast Loi Jirga and convinced them to take back their strike call of 12th May. In response, the Members of Haq Parsat Loi Jirga while totally agreeing with the MQM Coordination Committee announced to withdraw their strike call of 12th May.
The MQM Coordination Committee strongly appealed to the patriotic Pakistanis to show solidarity with the Pakistan Army and hoist national flag at their homes, businesses, shops and factories. They also appealed to the patriotic Pakistanis to pay tributes to the martyred soldiers and personnel of security agencies who have sacrificed their lives while fighting the terrorists and extremists in the Northern Areas and show to the entire world that the entire people of Pakistan stand shoulder to shoulder with the Pakistan Army.
