LONDON: 29TH SEPTEMBER 2011 Founder and Leader of Muttahida Quami Movement (MQM) Mr Altaf Hussain has paid glowing tributes to the martyrs of the tragedies of 30th September in Hyderabad and 1st October in Karachi in the year 1988. He said that the blood of the martyrs spilled in the cause of truth will not go in vain and the movement will achieve its destiny. He said that the sacrifices rendered by the people in revolutionary movements are bring victory. All those movements whose workers and sympathizers are fired with the noble sentiments of sacrificing for the supreme cause ultimately get their destination. Mr Hussain said that the tragedies that struck on the 30th September, and the 1st October 1988 in Hyderabad and Karachi were a vicious conspiracy to kindle the fire of hatred among the permanent residents of Sindh. The only aim was to stop the people from getting united. The conspiracy to create animosity between the Urdu-speaking people and the Sindhi-speaking people by instigating the bloodshed was failed by the peaceful people of the province of Sindh. Mr Hussain said that Sindh has always been the land of peace and tranquility. The conspirators would always fail to create a wedge between the people living in the land of Shah Latif.

KARACHI: 25TH SEPTEMBER 2011: The newly appointed Consul General of the Federal Republic of Germany in Karachi Dr Tilo Klinner visited Nine Zero, the Head Office of Muttahida Quami Movement (MQM), on Friday. He was received by members of the Co-ordination Committee Mrs Nasrin Jalil and Kunwar Khalid Yunus. The Co-ordination Committee members informed Mr Klinner about the current situation in the country and the grave situation arising in the flood-hit areas in Interior Sindh. Elections to the local bodies with particular reference to Karachi also came under discussion. The meeting lasted for one hour.
