London 14th December, 2008….…MQM UK Observed Yaum-e-Shuhada in London and Manchester. In London a large gathering was held at Watling Community Center in Edgware. In this gathering Quran khowani was conducted. Prayers and fatiha were offered for the benediction of Quaid-e-Tehreek Altaf- Hussain's Elder brother Nasir Hussain (Shaheed), nephew (Arif Hussain Shaheed) and all the martyrs of the movement who sacrifices their lives in the cause of truth. Members of MQM Coordination Committee Tariq Javed, Saleem Shahzad, Syed Tariq Meer, Muhammad Ashfaq, Mustafa Azizabadi, Qasim Ali Raza, Care taker of MQM Labour Division Pakistan Anees Ahmed Advocate, Organizer of MQM UK Dr Saleem Danish, Joint Organizer Faiz Ahmed, Members Organizing Committee, Unit Incharges, Unit Committee members, workers, large number of supporters including their families attended the gathering to commemorate Martyrs of the movement. In the end Hafiz Masroor Ahmed prayed to God for salvation and benediction of all martyrs for a better abode and for the long life and better health of Quaid-e-Tehreek Altaf Hussain. In Manchester Qurankhowani and prayers were also conducted.
