& Leader of Muttahida Quami Movement (MQM), Mr.
Altaf Hussain and President Asif Ali Zardari
spoke over the telephone today and discussed the
current situation with regards to terrorism in
Mumbai and its affect on Pakistan. Both the
leaders expressed strongest condemnation over
the terrorist activities and sympathized with
the families of those who lost their loved ones.
They said that Pakistan itself is faced with
terrorism and several of country’s personnel and
officers of law enforcement agencies have lost
their lives in its fight against terrorism. Both
the leaders agreed that it is time to act
positively and wisely. Mr. Hussain stressed upon
the President that in such critical times all
Pakistani leaders should refrain from issuing
provocative statements and make all efforts to
lessen the tension and maintain peace and
stability in the region at all cost. |

& Leader of Muttahida Quami Movement (MQM), Mr.
Altaf Hussain while strongly condemning the
terrorist activities in the Indian commercial
capital Mumbai has expressed his grief and
sorrow on brutal killings of dozens of innocent
people including the police personnel.Mr.
Hussain said that terrorist attacks on different
places in Mumbai including international hotels
and the railway station; the way innocent
civilians and police personnel were fired upon
and many locals and foreigners have been made
hostage is highly deplorable. He termed this act
as naked terrorism and said that the people of
Pakistan and every peace loving person severely
condemns these attacks. Mr. Altaf Hussain
expressed his sorrow and grief to the Indian
Prime Minister Man Mohan Singh and the
Government of India and the families of those
who lost their lives in these terrorists’
attacks. He also prayed for the early recovery
of those injured. |

Coordination Committee Saleem Shahzad has said
Pakistan is in the state of danger due to the
talbanization. He said that all the
elements of society should be united to save
Pakistan. He was addressing the Women Wing of
MQM Tooting Unit. A large number of women
workers and supporters attended the gathering. Saleem Shahzad
further said Islam is a religion of peace. Islam
is against extremism, but religious extremists
are killing the innocent people, beheading the
Muslims, burning the girls school and brutally
torturing the people on the name of Islam which
is against the teachings of Islam. He advised
that peace loving people should be
united against the terrorism on the name of
Islam. He further said in his address that MQM
believe in the equal rights of women in every

MQM is setting up a micro-financing fund to help
jobless youths set up a small businesses, said
MQM chief Altaf Hussain through a telephonic
address to a gathering here on Sunday night. He
advised those youths who are unable to find jobs
after completion of their degrees to avail this
facility. He appealed to the attendants at the
gathering to come forward and help the MQM in
setting up this fund. Following this, prominent
businessmen present on the occasion announced
donation of millions of rupees for the fund.
Even students donated small amounts of money for
it. Hussain also said that those who support
Talibanisation in Karachi should be socially
